Yucatan Peninsula, located in the Southeast of Mexico, is a unique geographic zone in earth. Millions of years ago, a meteor collided against the peninsula changing the structure of this area.  As result of this collision many underwater rivers were formed, which are connected with the sea (both Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea). These caves were empty before and with the filtration of the water above the surface made beautiful stone formations known as stalactites and stalagmites. Years passed by and some of these caves got flooded creating the amazing scenarios called CENOTES; fresh water caves and rivers connected among them. In the peninsula there are over 2,500 cenotes registered. We have explored many of them in order to give you a safety tour in this underwater adventure in the Mayan Land.
